Following various life events I felt I could not continue in the direction I was heading. I experienced anxiety and stress and whilst under medical supervision attended various therapy sessions. Whilst helpful I still could not let go of certain issues which hindered my total recovery. That was until I was introduced to Mindfulness and can honestly say it has been my “light bulb moment”. I now find that I am free from anxiety and stress and able to put things into perspective and live a happier and calmer life. It is nothing mystical, give Mindfulness a go. Thank you.
Mindful Soothing
Mindfulness helps soothe the mind and make life more enjoyable. It’s both simple and effective.
In a nutshell, Mindfulness involves training yourself to stay in the present moment and some meditation practice. Being aware of the present moment is both relaxing and refreshing, rather than living in the past, going over old hurts, or living in the future, wondering ‘What if? What if?’.
With Mindfulness you will find a calm in daily life and the ability to become more aware of moments of joy.
Mindfulness has been shown to be as effective as medication for the prevention of relapse of depression (The Lancet, April 2015).
